CAED is the acronym for Centre for Academic Excellence and Development. It is a centre under the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK). The function of CAED is to manage all teaching and learning innovation, academic leadership, academic curriculum development and assessment and evaluation.
CAED under the lead of Prof. Madya Dr. Mohamad Najmi Bin Masri, structured into four (4) main units, which are:
To be a tranformation centre for competitive academic development toward University excellence
To provide Platform and tools to facilitate the implimentation of academic activities in accordance with current development that are more dynamic and competitive at the global level.
